On the morning of August 2nd, the international standard running race Baden Mountain International Marathon 2025 will officially commence at the cable car station square of Black Lady Mountain (Nui Ba Den). Concurrently, a leaf market and many unique spiritual cultural activities will be held at the highest mountain in the South.
What's special about the biggest running race in the Southeast region?
With the start and finish point at the foot of Ba Den Mountain – an iconic destination of Tay Ninh, Baden Mountain International Marathon 2025 is the first time a marathon race in Tay Ninh has its course certified as international standard by AIMS.

From 8 AM on August 2nd at the Square of the Ba Den Mountain cable car departure station, the Expo area for activities and booth experiences will officially open, kicking off the largest scale running event in the South. Athletes will receive race-kits and BIBs between 8 AM and 5 PM on the same day. The opening ceremony of the race will be officially held from 6 PM to 7 PM.
On the morning of August 3rd, runners will embark on the longest distance race (42km), starting at 3:30 AM. Immediately after, the 21km, 10km, and 5km distances will start sequentially at 5 AM, 6 AM, and 7 AM. The closing ceremony and awards will be held from 9 AM to 11 AM at the Square of the Ba Den Mountain cable car departure station.

This year's prize structure is considered particularly attractive, with many diverse categories and a total value of up to hundreds of millions of dong. The 42km and 21km distances each have 5 prize categories for outstanding athletes, with a total prize value of up to 166 million. In the age group category, both the 42km and 21km distances have 7 age groups with a total prize value for the age groups up to 42 million, including 56 awards for outstanding athletes. The total prize value for clubs and teams amounts to 73 million dong.

The route of the Baden Mountain International Marathon 2025 race is one of the most attractive factors for runners. Starting from the foot of Ba Den Mountain, the route will connect famous landmarks of the holy land of Tay Ninh such as Nui Da Lake, Ma Thien Lanh, or Toa Thanh - a magnificent religious structure of the Cao Dai religion.
Held annually since 2021, Baden Mountain International Marathon is the largest scale race in Tay Ninh in general and the Southeast region in particular. With the theme “The Legendary Run – The Legendary Route”, the Baden Mountain International Marathon 2025 route has been precisely and rigorously measured by international standard experts from AIMS for all factors such as distance, elevation, gradient, wind speed, competition conditions... With this standard, runners participating in the Baden Mountain International Marathon 2025 race can use their results from the race to register for major races around the world such as Boston Marathon, Chicago Marathon, New York City Marathon...
Run, play and visit the leaf market on top of Ba Den Mountain
With Ba Den Mountain as the center of the race activities, Baden Mountain International Marathon 2025 will inspire about the pilgrimage land of Tay Ninh with many layers of ancient spiritual cultural sediment.
During the 2 days of the race, a series of unique cultural activities will be organized on top of Ba Den Mountain. Among them, art performance programs with strong local colors will be held with 2 performances/day on August 2nd and 3rd.

Notably, the Ba Den Leaf Market – a unique "strange" market where leaves are used instead of money, a specialty of Tay Ninh , will be held on the summit of Ba Den Mountain from 4 PM to 7 PM on August 2nd. Immediately after the leaf market, visitors will attend a sacred lamp offering ceremony at the square at the foot of the Lady Buddha Tay Bo Da Son statue – a ritual that has created a unique mark for the pilgrimage land of Ba Mountain.
