Space for the Sarira of Shakyamuni Buddha
The sacred Nui Ba Den Mountain is one of the very rare places in Vietnam blessed to welcome and preserve the Buddha's sarira. This is the sarira of Shakyamuni Buddha, awarded by the World Buddhist Federation at Bodh Gaya, India in 2014, with the wish for Vietnamese Buddhism to develop beautifully, become increasingly prosperous, and protect the nation and its people. After nearly 10 years of preservation at Thien Hung Pagoda (Binh Dinh), the Buddha's sarira was donated by Thien Hung Pagoda to Nui Ba, the sacred peak of the Southern region, as a prayer for national peace, popular well-being, and myriad blessings for all sentient beings.
At the peak of Nui Ba, the sarira of Shakyamuni Buddha is solemnly enshrined in a two-tiered crystal stupa, within a sacred sarira space, at the Buddhist exhibition center at the foot of the Tay Bo Da Son Buddha statue.
Buddha relics
According to Buddhist culture, the Buddha is a great enlightened being, a transcendent being who saves sentient beings, so his relics will bring happiness and peace. Contemplating Buddha relics is like seeing the Buddha still in the mortal world, transforming suffering into happiness. Having Buddha relics is a place to save, relieve the suffering of sentient beings, and seek true peace - that is the most practical miracle.
For Buddhists, contemplating Buddha relics brings immeasurable merit. Therefore, many people wish to visit Ba Mountain to witness the Buddha's relics, sincerely pay homage, and pray for peace and prosperity, especially as the Linh Son Thanh Mau festival approaches. This year's ceremony is organized solemnly and respectfully by the Ba Mountain pagoda system for 3 days from June 21-23 (corresponding to May 4-6 of the lunar calendar).
Prajnaparamita Sutra pillar cluster engraved with gold
The statue of the Bodhisattva Tay Bo Da Son is the center of the spiritual complex on the mountaintop, standing majestically on a lotus platform amidst the legendary sacred peak. At the foot of the Bodhisattva statue is a 4-story base with a concentric architectural style, where each floor will take visitors into the Buddhist world using world-leading technological applications.
On the lowest floor at the foot of the great Bodhisattva statue is the lecture hall. This is also the magical space of the Prajnaparamita heart sutra pillar cluster, with 5 black kim sa granite pillars, intricately carved with 12,000 Tibetan sutra characters gilded in gold.
Bat Nha Sutra Pillar Complex
Specifically, the largest pillar has a diameter of 2m and a height of 19.8m, rising from underground to the center of the water disc in the vast square at the foot of the Great Buddha statue. This water disc, along with the vast square space at the foot of the Goddess of Mercy statue, is where sacred and miraculous lamp-offering ceremonies are regularly held on the peak of Ba Den Mountain on special occasions.

On the second floor of the Buddhist Exhibition Center atop Nui Ba Den mountain, visitors have the opportunity to explore and admire ancient pagodas in Vietnam through 3D hologram technology - a technology that creates a three-dimensional image floating in the air, allowing viewers to observe a 360-degree holographic image without the need for a screen or special glasses.
3D Hologram technology takes visitors to admire models of 16 famous pagodas in Vietnam
Here there are 16 modern Hologram projection devices, taking visitors on a journey to admire models of 16 famous pagodas in Vietnam such as: Bo Da Pagoda, Vinh Nghiem Pagoda, Phat Tich Pagoda, Huong Pagoda, But Thap Pagoda, Thien Mu Pagoda... The pagodas all date back over 200 years and are places that preserve ancient architectural styles, valuable ancient artifacts, and have beautiful and famous grounds.
Also on the second floor, visitors can visit a special room dedicated to the Prayer Wheels (Kinh Luan) - a type of ritual object used by Tibetan Buddhist followers for chanting and recitation. Many people believe that the Kinh Luan wheel can spin as a simple way to accumulate immense merit; simply touching the prayer wheel is a great purification for removing karmic obstacles.

The third floor of the exhibition center, at the foot of the Quan Am statue, is a space displaying hundreds of replicas of classic Buddhist artworks, including many particularly famous Buddha statues from Vietnam and the world. Here, visitors can also admire ancient artifacts in Buddhist architecture made of wood and stone, dating from the 11th to the 13th centuries.
