Admire the "Rooftop of Southern Vietnam" amidst a serene sea of clouds, with unprecedented beauty

Owning a coveted "cloud hunting photo collection" among friends, Duc Trong (26 years old, TP.HCM) has had memorable trips to Ta Xua (Yen Bai), Bach Moc Luong Tu (Lao Cai), Langbiang peak (Lam Dong)... This September, Duc Trong continues his cloud hunting journey on the sacred Ba Den mountain peak, Tay Ninh.

From Ho Chi Minh City, Duc Trong traveled about 4 hours by tourist car service from the central city pick-up point to Ba Den Mountain. Amidst the peaceful green plains, the young man passionate about travel was particularly impressed by the majestic mountain rising amidst the vast plains.

“Right before I went to Tay Ninh, the weather was quite favorable. After the rains, many photographers captured photos of Ba Den Mountain from Ho Chi Minh City. Many local fanpages also updated images of pure white, floating seas of clouds covering the mountain peak. I followed the weather forecast to plan, determined to have a cloud hunting trip right in the famous mountains of the South”.

Hai Trieu - a photographer who has been associated with Tay Ninh for many years - said he has had countless cloud hunting experiences at both early morning and late afternoon times. "From afar, I can admire the peaceful high mountain "wearing a cloud hat" in various shapes. When reaching the mountaintop, I can witness firsthand the streams of clouds winding around the feet of the Goddess of Mercy statue, following the treetops, and the wind... bringing a feeling of great peace, relaxation, and buoyancy, as if recreating a celestial realm".

As the highest mountain in the Southern region, Ba Den Mountain creates a majestic highlight with the Tay Bo Da Son Lady Buddha statue, the tallest in Asia, located on the mountaintop. Many cloud phenomena have created a craze for cloud hunting on Ba Den Mountain such as cap clouds (lenticular clouds), phoenix clouds, fire rainbows, sea of clouds... The fascinating natural phenomena combined with iconic spiritual structures and the "number one mountain in the sky" landscape make Ba Den Mountain attract millions of tourists for visits and worship each year.

To serve visitors during the cloud season, Sun World Ba Den Mountain operates the cable car route to the mountaintop from 5 AM. On ideal days, when the cabin has traveled about half the way, visitors feel as if they can touch the sea of clouds right outside the window. Right below is the magnificent and beautiful forest. Staff at Sun World Ba Den Mountain tourist area said that hunting clouds around the Maitreya statue is particularly difficult, but once the sea of clouds floods around the statue, it creates an enchanting scene no different from paradise. The giant Maitreya statue, appearing and disappearing in layers of clouds, is an incredibly majestic sight.

This September, Ba Den Mountain is preparing to welcome the Mid-Autumn Festival with a series of attractive shows and a sacred lantern offering ceremony. In Tay Ninh, the 15th day of the 8th lunar month is considered the biggest holiday of the year when Toa Thanh organizes the Dieu Tri Cung Feast, attracting millions of Cao Dai followers from all over the country to Tay Ninh. After the Dieu Tri Cung Feast, a large number of tourists flock to Ba Den Mountain to join the vibrant atmosphere with meaningful spiritual cultural activities celebrating the perfect reunion season.
