Buzzing with excitement for the surreal sunset moment at Black Lady Mountain, Tay Ninh.

At an altitude of 986m above sea level, the "roof of the South" is famous for rare morning cloud phenomena such as lenticular clouds (flying saucer-shaped clouds), rainbow clouds, and sea of clouds... appearing continuously. Especially, during these late months of the year, in the afternoon, the sunset dyes the sky a brilliant red, with interesting viewpoints from Mount Ba Den that are making young people go wild.

Hai Trieu, a young Tây Ninh resident passionate about photography, is one of the lucky ones to capture many magical sunset moments at Ba Den Mountain. According to Hai Trieu, there are many ideal spots to hunt for sunsets at Ba Den Mountain.

One of the most beloved sunset hunting spots is on the cable car. Sitting in a cabin descending from the mountain peak around 5:50 PM, you will see the sun, as red as a ball of fire, lying horizontally on the mountainside, reflecting orange-red light onto the green forest floor. "The feeling of sitting in the cabin is like passing through the sun during sunset, imagining you could reach out and touch the sun, it's magical" – Hai Trieu said.

Another sunset hunting spot that many people enjoy is right at the Tay Bo Da Son square on top of Ba Den mountain . This vast square is where visitors can cast their eyes over the entire fertile plain and the immense Dau Tieng lake. From the square, every afternoon, the sun will set behind the statue of Tay Bo Da Son Buddha statue , the tallest in Asia, located on the peak of the mountain. The Buddha statue against the sky, dyed with streaks of orange-yellow and slightly pink clouds, creates a magnificent and sacred picture.

“Every day watching the sunset at the summit of Ba Den Mountain is a different experience. The red-orange light changes, clouds transform continuously, sometimes like pink-orange dragon scales, sometimes creating streaks of light that look very eerie, captivating many tourists” – said Mr. Dang Vu, an employee of Sun World Ba Den Mountain tourist area.

The lantern offering ceremony takes place at the Tay Bo Da Son square on Saturdays right at sunset, which is also a particularly beloved experience for tourists. In the meditative space with the light from thousands of lanterns, the movement of the fading sunset behind the statue of the Lady Buddha of Tay Bo Da Son creates a particularly sacred moment.

Besides Black Lady Mountain, many young people also choose to chase sunset views from Dau Tieng Lake. From here, one can see the bright red sky reflected on the lake surface, and Black Lady Mountain casting its shadow on the lake, offering a mesmerizing distant view that is both poetic and majestic.

Khedol Pagoda, a famous Khmer pagoda in Tay Ninh, is also one of the sunset hunting spots loved by many. About 5km from Ba Den Mountain, Khedol Pagoda is located in Thanh Dong Hamlet, Thanh Tan Commune, with Khmer architectural motifs appearing in the incredibly beautiful sunset light.

A 2-hour drive from Ho Chi Minh City, Ba Den Mountain is not only a famous sacred spiritual destination but is also known as the "foremost celestial mountain", a place for many people, especially the youth, to "live slowly" and capture rare beautiful natural moments in the South.
