One of the unmissable experiences when traveling in Cat Ba is the world's most modern three-rope cable car system, along with a station system with a modern design, carrying the breath of the port land, belonging to the Sun World Cat Ba Cable Car Tourist Area.

Officially put into operation on June 6, the Cat Hai – Phu Long three-rope cable car line has a total length of 3,955m, connecting from the center of Cat Hai island to near the Cai Vieng pier area on Cat Ba island, consisting of 60 cabins with a capacity of 30 guests per hour. The cable car line was implemented under the consultation and design of the world's No. 1 cable car company, Doppelmayr, with a capacity of up to 4,500 guests per hour, halving travel time, while contributing to reducing the overload of Cat Ba tourism during holidays.

Particularly, the Cat Hai – Phu Long cable car route has a cable tower 214.8m high, recognized by Guinness World Records for the record: "World's Tallest Cable Car Tower". This is an important milestone, marking the strong transformation of Cat Ba tourism, contributing to building Cat Ba into an internationally standard tourist area with Asian regional stature, quickly turning Cat Ba into a novel destination for domestic and international tourists. 

Cat Hai – Phu Long Cable Car Route

Along with the Guinness World Record-holding cable car route, the station structures in Cat Ba with modern design and large areas also bring visitors wonderful experiences. In the first phase, the Sun World Cat Ba Cable Car tourist area will put into operation two stations, including Cat Hai station and Phu Long station, out of a total of 5 main stations of the project.
