Jade Rabbit, Saint Giong and Carp to Light Up Bai Chay on Mid-Autumn Festival Night

At 7:30 PM on September 25, the night of the Mid-Autumn full moon, the route from Ky Quan Coastal Road and Ha Long Street to the VUI-Fest Ha Long area at Sun Elite City in Bai Chay Ward will be transformed into a giant stage of light and color.

This marks the second consecutive year that Sun Group has organized a large-scale Mid-Autumn lantern parade in Quang Ninh, bringing familiar symbols of the full-moon festival to the streets on giant lantern vehicles, accompanied by lion and dragon dances, artistic performances, a traditional Mid-Autumn feast and dazzling fireworks over Ha Long Bay.

Visitors capture memorable moments

Along the route from Ky Quan Coastal Road through Ha Long Street and the Bai Chay roundabout before returning to the coastal road, the parade vehicles will make their way through the streets adorned with a variety of designs inspired by the Mid-Autumn Festival and Vietnamese folk culture. Alongside carp, phoenixes, lions, lotus flowers and turtles, this year's celebration will also feature special characters such as the Jade Rabbit and Saint Giong.

Mounted on buggies and trucks, the colorful installations will form a spectacular procession, bringing a dazzling display of lights and colors to the coastal city under the full moon.

The sound of festival drums, cheers from thousands of locals and visitors, and the dazzling lights from the giant installations are set to create an unprecedented festive atmosphere in Quang Ninh during the Mid-Autumn Festival.

More than a parade, the event brings together visual arts, Vietnamese folk culture and the spirit of carnival, taking audiences through a diverse range of emotions and experiences.

The parade will then converge at the Lighthouse area, where the festivities will continue with a traditional Mid-Autumn feast. The highlight of the evening will be a special artistic fireworks display expected to last up to 10 minutes.

The sky above Bai Chay is set to come alive with colorful high-altitude fireworks and thousands of visual effects, creating a magical and dazzling scene beneath the full moon. This year's Mid-Autumn Festival in Quang Ninh will be more than a night of lanterns and traditional festivities – it will become a spectacular feast of light.
