Sun World Ha Nam: A premier entertainment haven celebrating traditional culture
Located in Ha Nam Ward (Ninh Binh Province), Sun World Ha Nam is one of five major parks within the Sun Urban City development. It is the first water park in Vietnam inspired by the traditional art of water puppetry and officially opened in May 2025.
Drawing from the rich heritage of water puppetry, Sun World Ha Nam has been crafted as a vivid living folk painting—honoring the renowned art form of Nội Rối Village (Lý Nhân, former Hà Nam Province). The park is divided into seven themed zones, each named after famous water puppetry performances, offering visitors not only world-class entertainment but also immersive and meaningful insights into Vietnam’s local cultural heritage.

Developed in partnership with ProSlide—one of the world’s leading brands in water ride technology—Sun World Ha Nam boasts world-class engineering, featuring 14 modern attraction complexes and 40 water slides. In its first phase, the park spans 10 hectares with an average daily capacity of 6,500 visitors.
The park is divided into seven themed zones, each inspired by iconic water puppetry performances, offering not only endless entertainment but also immersive cultural experiences.

In Zone 2, visitors are transported into the mythical world of Tứ Linh (the Four Sacred Creatures), represented here by the Dragon and the Phoenix. Through imaginative design, these legendary symbols come to life, inviting guests to experience the thrill of the “Super Tornado,” with its exhilarating spirals, or glide through the “Phoenix Curve,” where winding slides echo the elegance and grandeur of a soaring phoenix.
Zone 3 brings to life the vibrant theme of boat racing. Its highlight, the “Dreamy River,” is a 500-meter lazy river that gently carries visitors along a tranquil flow—offering a peaceful retreat after high-adrenaline rides.
Zone 4 immerses guests in the setting of “Thủy Đình – Múa Tiên,” inspired by the traditional Northern Vietnamese communal house stage often seen in water puppetry. The centerpiece, “Wave of the Gods,” spans 4,628 square meters, delivering an exciting wave pool experience while evoking the familiar charm of a village water puppet performance.
The Tứ Linh theme continues in Zone 5, this time featuring the Turtle and the Qilin. Here, visitors can enjoy thrilling rides such as the “Speed Spiral” and the “Converging Drop,” combining high-intensity excitement with captivating storytelling elements.
Meanwhile, Zone 6—under the theme “Fox Hunting and Duck Catching”—recreates scenes from traditional Vietnamese rural life. Guests can explore a variety of attractions, from the vibrant “Color Slide” and the child-friendly “Mini Snail Slide” to the adventurous “Mystery Tunnel” and “Playful Race Track,” or simply unwind at the leisure pool.
Finally, Zone 7 is designed as a family-friendly space, where visitors of all ages can come together and enjoy shared moments through interactive and bonding activities.

A standout highlight of Sun World Ha Nam is the “Dual Racing Slide”—the first of its kind in Southeast Asia. Stretching 228.22 meters with a total elevation drop of 24.84 meters, this twin-tube slide allows two riders to race side by side on identical tracks, featuring the same slopes, twists, and turns. It offers a unique opportunity for friends and families to compete and share an exhilarating experience filled with speed, excitement, and unforgettable emоtions.
Beyond its outdoor attractions, Sun World Ha Nam is also planning to introduce an indoor entertainment complex—Wonder Land—in the future, featuring facilities such as an ice-skating rink and a theater.
The investment in Sun World Ha Nam reflects Sun Group’s commitment to enriching the tourism offerings of Ha Nam in particular and Ninh Binh as a whole, positioning the area as one of northern Vietnam’s most dynamic entertainment hubs. Together with the Festival Axis and Times Square—also developed by Sun Group—alongside a vibrant lineup of summer activities including music festivals, fireworks displays, the Vuifest night market, and street performances, the park has helped reshape the urban landscape and inject new energy into the region.
More than just serving residents and visitors, these developments are contributing to Ninh Binh’s growing stature, reinforcing its ambition to become a centrally governed city by 2035.
