Sun World Sam Son – An international-standard coastal entertainment complex

Spanning more than 33.5 hectares with a total investment of nearly VND 6,000 billion, Sun World Sam Son is the eighth entertainment complex under the Sun World brand developed by Sun Group. It also stands as one of the largest outdoor amusement park developments in terms of scale and investment in the North Central region of Vietnam.

Sun World Sam Son is located in Sam Son Ward, along Nam Song Ma Boulevard, approximately 13 kilometers from Thanh Hoa center and just 1.5 kilometers from Sam Son Beach. The complex comprises both a water park and a theme park.

In its first phase, the water park officially launched in June 2024, with 14 water ride complexes now in operation. These attractions are divided into three zones: Zone 1 caters to all age groups, Zone 2 is designed for families and children, and Zone 3 features high-thrill rides for adventure seekers.

The debut of this large-scale entertainment complex has introduced a new tourism product for Sam Son in particular and Thanh Hoa as a whole—creating a compelling destination that extends visitors’ length of stay and accelerates the region’s tourism growth. Sun World Sam Son also lays the foundation for a major leap forward in the local entertainment industry, contributing to the development of a comprehensive tourism ecosystem that integrates resorts, shopping, dining, and recreation. This evolving landscape is expected to help Sam Son achieve its target of welcoming 10 million visitors in the near future, transforming it into a vibrant, year-round destination.

The attractions at Sun World Sam Son are developed by ProSlide, a global leader in water park ride technology. The design concept draws inspiration from Vietnamese folklore and traditional materials such as bamboo, thatch, and woven textures—creating a sense of cultural familiarity while maintaining a modern aesthetic.

A standout feature of the complex is the wave pool, known as “Tsunami Bay,” which spans 6,100 square meters and boasts an artificial shoreline stretching 179 meters. Inspired by the legendary tale of Son Tinh and Thuy Tinh, it delivers thrilling ocean-like waves and an immersive coastal experience. Meanwhile, the 550-meter lazy river encircling the children’s play area evokes the gentle flow of the Do River, a familiar symbol of Sam Son.

Notably, Sun World Sam Son introduces several attractions for the first time in the Asia-Pacific region, including the KIDZ Adventure Tower water playground, the Kidz TornadoWAVE slide for children, and the Switchback TornadoWAVE for adults. High-adrenaline rides such as the Double TornadoWAVE 60 and BehemothBOWL 60—among the tallest of their kind in Asia-Pacific—deliver heart-pounding excitement and unforgettable thrills for visitors.

Food and beverage outlets, cafés, and refreshment areas are thoughtfully arranged throughout the complex, allowing visitors to take breaks between attractions, recharge, and continue their experience in comfort.

Sun World Sam Son further distinguishes itself with its lush landscape, featuring more than 2,100 coconut trees alongside a variety of shade-providing greenery. This expansive green coverage creates an ideal setting where guests can seamlessly combine high-energy entertainment with moments of relaxation—rejuvenating both body and mind amid nature.
