Golden Bridge – the iconic bridge of Sun World Ba Na Hills and a symbol of Da Nang tourism at Sun World Ba Na Hills
Sun World Ba Na Hills named Asia’s Leading Theme Park
Perched atop Nui Chua Mountain at an altitude of approximately 1,487 meters above sea level and more than 20 kilometers from central Da Nang, Sun World Ba Na Hills is one of the most prominent destinations in Central Vietnam. Surrounded by lush mountain landscapes and blessed with a cool climate year-round, the resort stands out for its diverse ecosystem of experiences, where nature, architecture, entertainment, art, cuisine and leisure come together in a harmonious and sophisticated setting.

This marks the seventh consecutive year that Sun World Ba Na Hills has been honored by the World Travel Awards as Asia’s Leading Theme Park
One of the defining images of Sun World Ba Na Hills is the Golden Bridge. Located at an altitude of approximately 1,414 meters, the nearly 150-meter-long structure stands out with its ribbon-like design supported by two giant stone hands, stretching across the clouds midway up the mountain. Since its debut in 2018, Golden Bridge has quickly become one of the iconic symbols of Da Nang tourism and was honored by the World Travel Awards in the World’s Leading Iconic Tourist Bridge category.

Beyond Golden Bridge, the French Village lends Ba Na Hills an old-world charm with its squares, castles, churches, domes and cobblestone streets inspired by European architecture. Visitors can stroll around, take photos, savor local and international cuisine, or stay overnight at Mercure Danang French Village Bana Hills, a resort that has been honored by the World Travel Awards in the Asia’s Leading Themed Resort category for multiple years.
The Ba Na Hills experience continues with Fantasy Park, a 21,000-square-meter indoor entertainment complex; Moon Castle, Eclipse Square, Sun God Waterfall and Le Jardin D’Amour, along with a diverse lineup of artistic performances and vibrant shows. In 2026, Sun World Ba Na Hills introduced the “Nguon Coi” Interactive Light Art, an approximately 800-square-meter interactive light art space where lighting effects respond to visitors’ movements and interactions. Minishows such as Malambo, Cancan and Love in the Sky, together with the Alpine Coaster and a wide range of entertainment activities and culinary offerings, continue to create a vibrant array of experiences atop Nui Chua Mountain.
It is this combination of natural landscapes, iconic architecture and a diverse ecosystem of experiences that has made Sun World Ba Na Hills a destination for millions of visitors from around the world. This is also the foundation for the resort to retain the Asia’s Leading Theme Park 2026 title at the World Travel Awards, extending its winning streak to seven consecutive years from 2020 to 2026.
From a journey “flying through the clouds” to Asia’s Leading Cable Car
The cable car is the first point of contact that takes visitors into the fairy-tale realm of Ba Na Hills. The Asia’s Leading Cable Car 2026 title marks a notable milestone, as this was the first time the World Travel Awards introduced an award in this category. Sun World Ba Na Hills’ cable car system prevailed over prominent regional contenders such as India’s Gulmarg Gondola, Malaysia’s Langkawi SkyCab and Hong Kong’s Ngong Ping 360.

Sun World Ba Na Hills’ seven cable car lines, with a combined operating capacity of up to 17,000 passengers per hour
The cable car system at Sun World Ba Na Hills currently comprises seven lines: Suoi Mo – Ba Na, Debay – Morin, Toc Tien Waterfall – L’Indochine, Hoi An – Marseille, Bordeaux – Louvre, Champa – Taiga, and Hoi An 2 – Moon Kingdom, with a combined capacity of thousands of passengers per hour. Depending on the route, the average journey from the foot of the mountain to the summit takes approximately 20–25 minutes by cable car.
Among these, the Suoi Mo – Ba Na cable car line was recognized by Guinness World Records upon its inauguration with four world records: the world’s longest single-wire cable car route at 5,771.61 meters; the world’s longest non-spliced cable at 11,587 meters; the world’s greatest elevation difference between departure and arrival stations at 1,368.93 meters; and the world’s heaviest cable reel, weighing 141.24 tons.
Beyond its impressive technical specifications, the appeal of the Ba Na Hills cable car lies in the experience of “flying through the clouds.” From the cabins, the spectacular mountain scenery unfolds below, with layers of lush green forest stretching across different elevations and crystal-clear streams flowing beneath, while clouds can appear just beyond the glass windows. As the cabin gradually ascends, the landscape constantly transforms, shifting from verdant forests to architectural structures emerging through the mist and clouds. Looking back toward the city, visitors can also take in sweeping views of the beautiful coastal city of Da Nang.
The Asia’s Leading Cable Car 2026 title awarded to the Sun World Ba Na Hills cable car system is a meaningful recognition of the distinctive emotional and experiential value that visitors discover on their journey through the clouds to the summit of Ba Na.
The prestigious awards earned by the destination at the “Oscars of the global travel industry” once again underscore the distinctive appeal, enduring value and strong identity of a well-crafted entertainment complex that is contributing to the beauty of Vietnam and elevating the country’s tourism profile on the global map.
