Great Amitabha Buddha Statue - Sun World Fansipan Legend

The Great Buddha statue has a height of 21.5m, is made from thousands of 5mm thick copper plates with a total weight of 62 tons, processed on-site and clad using mechanical pressure technique on an iron frame structure with a volume of nearly 1000m3, featuring bas-relief decorative patterns bearing the artistic breath of the Tran dynasty.

To suit the terrain at the high peak with strong winds and harsh climate, the steel frame of the Great Buddha statue was designed by artisans with an extremely special structure. The statue was also chosen to be coated with a dark color instead of being gilded, to harmonize with the majestic lush green natural scenery on the high peak of the Northwest.

In the spectacular natural scenery of Indochina's roof, the majestic, grand Buddha statue on the high peak appears and disappears in a mystical sea of clouds and is surrounded by the green of overlapping mountains and forests, creating a surreal beautiful picture of the land of Buddha and a sacred, pure space for the souls of tourists who have the opportunity to visit.

On April 21, 2021, during the 5th anniversary celebration of Sun World Fansipan Legend, the Great Amitabha Buddha statue of the Fansipan spiritual complex received a double record: “The highest bronze Amitabha Buddha statue in Vietnam” and “The highest bronze Amitabha Buddha statue in Asia”.
