Attending the 2nd Stone Flower Festival, which recently opened on the summit of Fansipan, many Western tourists expressed delight immersing themselves in the unique world of succulents, while also enjoying a fascinating journey amidst a magnificent sea of clouds, with countless unparalleled experiences.

From October 25, 2025, Fansipan Peak – “Roof of Indochina” has donned a new look, brighter and more charming than ever, as the second Stone Lotus Festival officially opened, kicking off the 2025 Winter Festival with a series of attractive activities and events in Sa Pa (Lao Cai).

As soon as visitors step into An Nhien Garden in the cable car station area, they are immediately captivated by a vibrant visual art space, created from thousands of blooming succulents on a backdrop of rustic stone, bamboo, and wood. Running until November 24, 2025, the Succulent Flower Festival at Sun World Fansipan Legend carries a profound message about the "an nhien flow" – a place where the "mind" is calm amidst the endless stream of life.

The highlight of the festival is the art installation “Blooming Stone Heart” made from hundreds of lovely stone roses. The image of stone roses blooming vibrantly on barren rocks carries a meaningful message, symbolizing human resilience in striving to overcome difficulties and challenges in life.

Many international visitors attending the Festival for the first time were amazed and delighted by the paradise of Stone Roses with hundreds of meticulously crafted miniature landscapes made from succulents. Additionally, visitors can admire unique succulent paintings mounted on the walls, creating tranquil stops for visitors to take a deep breath, slow down, and find inner peace.

“ I have been to many flower festivals, but this is the first time I've seen succulents arranged so elaborately and uniquely. The succulent paintings on the wall are truly a highlight, making me feel like all my worries seem to disappear. I also participated in the succulent planting contest, planting a sprout of peace with my own hands to bring home as a souvenir, this is a very meaningful experience- chi Phuong Linh (a tourist from Ha Noi) shared about the experience.

If the Succulent Festival brings peace and tranquility, then the journey to conquer Fansipan this season opens up a romantic "fairy tale land", where visitors can enjoy spectacular cloud hunting. These days, Fansipan peak is entering its most beautiful cloud hunting season, with cool air and the opportunity to admire a thick, fluffy sea of clouds stretching endlessly below.

Especially, amidst the scene of billowy clouds like a fairyland, visitors can attend the sacred flag-raising ceremony on the peak of Fansipan or admire the magnificent spiritual architectural complex, bringing truly peaceful and serene feelings. (Photo: Tripdi)

“ I have been to many places in Asia, but I have never seen such a majestic and peaceful scene. Standing amidst a sea of white clouds, next to the Great Amitabha Buddha statue, I felt my soul lighten, as if I had transcended. The scenery was truly magnificent, as if I were touching heaven. This feeling is truly sacred” - Johnathan (a tourist from France) shared emotionally.

The journey to explore Fansipan becomes more complete when visitors can enjoy the special art performance show “Sacred Peak Travelogue” (Dinh Thieng Du Ky). With 3 acts and performed at 3 different locations at Sun World Fansipan, the show brings an exciting journey through the scenery, culture, and spirit of the Northwest, taking visitors through countless emotional levels, from bustling to tranquil, from profound to heroic.

On the journey to explore Fansipan, visitors also have the opportunity to discover the interesting lives of ethnic minorities in Ban May (Cloud Village) such as: Hmong Sapa, Hmong Dien Bien, Xa Pho, Tay, Giay, Red Dao, Thai, Ha Nhi… and directly experience their interesting customs and traditions.

Especially, this autumn-winter season, Sun World Fansipan Legend is also adorned with the vibrant colors of seasonal flowers. Visitors can freely take photos with the romantic scenery of flower gardens such as buckwheat flowers, reeds, purple flowers, roses, hydrangeas, yellow flamboyant flowers.... Notably, the overwhelmingly purple flower hill, showcasing its beauty like a carpet of deep purple flowers stretching at the foot of Fansipan mountain, is a special check-in spot not to be missed.

The 2025 Succulent Flower Festival is not only an artistic event but also the opening event for the promising Sa Pa Winter Festival series of activities, lasting until the end of 2025 and welcoming the new year 2026. The main highlight is the two shows “Dance Under the Moon” and “Sacred” at Sa Pa Square (from 07/11/2025 to 15/11/2025). Here, for the first time, Sa Pa will shine brightly in an unprecedented feast of light – sound – emotion, where the most magnificent scale interactive 3D Mapping technology converges hundreds of lighting devices, maximum power projectors, and the most modern performance technology.
The 2025 Succulent Flower Festival and the Winter Festival series of events in Sa Pa is not only the starting point for a vibrant tourist season, but also the most sincere invitation for everyone, no matter how busy, to take a "journey" upstream, to find peace and tranquility in the "Roof of Indochina".
