Sunset Town turns pink for Vietnamese Women’s Day in Phu Quoc

French pastries and tea, an afternoon stroll and sunset on Kiss Bridge make for a leisurely, sweet itinerary for Vietnamese Women’s Day on 20 October.
This October, southern Phu Quoc has a new pink-hued destination to complement its sunsets and fireworks. Under the theme Pink Month, Maison Eric Kayser is introducing a limited-edition pastry collection in Sunset Town, bringing together French artisanal baking techniques and tropical fruit flavours.
The appeal of Pink Month lies in both its presentation and its timing. Macarons, éclairs and flower-shaped mousse cakes are dressed in shades of pink, creating a striking tea-time spread against a sea-view backdrop. Available in Phu Quoc only from 5 to 30 October inclusive, the collection makes October the only time of year when visitors can savour the full experience.
Coinciding with Vietnamese Women’s Day on 20 October, Pink Month also offers a fresh date idea on the Pearl Island. French pastries and tea, an afternoon stroll and sunset on Kiss Bridge can come together in an itinerary for couples. For groups of female friends, it is an opportunity to dress up, discover the limited-edition pastry collection and capture new memories in photographs during a year-end getaway.

Taking centre stage on the tea table is the Macaronade, with crisp, airy pink macaron shells encasing a rich, silky cream filling and plump red raspberries. The combination of pink pastry and vibrant red fruit creates an eye-catching appearance, while the gentle tartness of the raspberries balances the cream, making every bite enticing.
The Guava Flower Cake and Lychee Flower Cake stand out for their floral designs. Delicately shaped petals combine smooth mousse with the refreshing flavour of pink guava or the mellow sweetness of lychee. These two cakes introduce tropical fruit flavours to the French-style collection, while offering additional choices for guests who prefer a lighter sweetness.
The Pink Month tea table also features Pink Saint-Honoré, pairing glossy pink caramel with traditional vanilla cream, and the elegant, elongated Éclair Raspberry, topped with pink chocolate that shimmers with a metallic sheen. From shapes and shades to flavours, the collection offers enough variety for everyone to find a favourite or share several pastries in a single visit.

Visitors can pick up pastries to take away at Maison Eric Kayser in Apollo Square or sit down to enjoy them at its Pearl Square location. While the Apollo outlet makes a convenient stop when exploring the town, the space in Pearl Square offers sweeping ocean views, ideal for a leisurely afternoon tea.
Pink pastries beside a cup of tea or coffee, with the sea and Sunset Town’s Mediterranean architecture in the background, create a photo setting that captures the festive spirit while retaining the distinctive character of southern Phu Quoc. Visitors can dress in pink to complete the picture, or let the pastry collection itself take centre stage on the table.

A visit to the bakery also fits easily into a Phu Quoc itinerary. After a ride on the Hon Thom cable car and time enjoying the island’s attractions, visitors can return to Sunset Town and pause for tea before heading to Kiss Bridge to watch the sun go down. The evening can then continue with dining, performances and artistic fireworks displays at the two shows, Symphony of the Sea and Kiss of the Sea.
With the collection available only until 30 October, these pink pastries offer another reason to book a trip to Phu Quoc this month. Especially for Vietnamese Women’s Day on 20 October, a Pink Month destination can be a gift for a loved one, a group of close friends or yourself: savour French pastries surrounded by shades of pink, then take in Phu Quoc’s signature sunset in an utterly romantic setting on Kiss Bridge.
