The British press calls Phu Quoc a destination "that has it all"

Recently, the UK's Express newspaper has lavished praise on Phu Quoc, calling the island an ideal choice in Southeast Asia, rather than the familiar Thailand for tourists.
As the year-end travel season approaches and European tourists begin planning their holidays, Phu Quoc has unexpectedly garnered significant attention from Express UK – one of the UK's most widely read daily news sites.
In an article about new travel trends for British tourists in Southeast Asian countries, Express suggested that instead of the overly familiar Thailand, tourists should choose nearby destinations that are "more affordable and have better beaches." Among these, Phu Quoc is the most outstanding choice.
Citing many international visitors' experiences, including those who have visited both Thailand and Vietnam, Express emphasized, "if you have a 3-week Southeast Asian trip, dedicate it all to Vietnam." In particular, Phu Quoc is the destination most recommended by visitors. The British newspaper cited a video by Geek Wandering – a travel vlogger with nearly half a million followers, who dedicated significant time to discussing the Jade Island. He praised the white sandy beaches, blue seas, and peaceful pagodas, and especially the feeling of "having it all" that Phu Quoc offers, from nature to culture, while the cost is still more pleasant than many familiar destinations in the region.

Not only Geek Wandering, but many other tourists also commented, Phu Quoc possesses "majestic landscapes that you must witness with your own eyes to truly believe", or "unbelievably beautiful beaches". Notably among them, Kem Beach and Sao Beach cannot be missed, two beaches with characteristic fine white sand, crystal clear waters like jade, once ranked among the most beautiful beaches on the planet.
Besides natural beauty, Express also assesses Phu Quoc's attractiveness comes from special experiences. It offers both local cultural experiences, and unique experiences found nowhere else in the world at reasonable prices are factors that make British tourists choose Phu Quoc. To affirm this, Express writer Chloe Selvester writes about her own experience on the world's longest three-rope cable car route to Hon Thom island – an experience she considers "perfect for admiring paradise".

The Hon Thom Cable Car is an "exquisite" journey that every tourist wants to experience when visiting Phu Quoc
The female reporter described this journey as "exquisite," as on the nearly 8km long cable car route, suspended at an altitude of nearly 180m, she could take in the entire view of the jade-green waters of the An Thoi archipelago. 15 minutes on the cable car between sky and sea were encapsulated in a scene that Express called "astonishing," enough to become a reason for tourists to fly halfway around the world to Vietnam.
This is not the first time the Hon Thom Cable Car has been praised by international media. This world record-breaking structure has been called the most worthwhile experience by the world's oldest travel guide, Lonely Planet. CNN in 2019 also praised the wonderful experience that the Hon Thom Cable Car offers to every tourist.

Show Symphony of the Sea with dazzling fireworks lighting up the sky of Pearl Island
From a breathtaking cable car journey, returning to colorful streets with street shows at Sunset Town, the record-breaking Kiss of the Sea and Symphony of the Sea shows, two fireworks displays in one night, and a vibrant nightlife that lasts until late… , that's how Phu Quoc "tells its story" giving international visitors a reason to return many times.
If previously, Phu Quoc was often known to British travelers as a new alternative to Thailand, then Express's continuous praise for Phu Quoc – from bypassing Thailand to experiencing "having it all" on Pearl Island – shows a Pearl Island undergoing a spectacular transformation. Phu Quoc is no longer a "rising star", but is becoming a new island and beach tourism paradise in the region, alongside familiar names like Bali or Phuket.
