During this year's National Day holiday on September 2nd, Fansipan once again became a 'gathering spot' for tens of thousands of visitors, featuring majestic natural scenery and a vibrant atmosphere with the Golden Season Ban May Festival, the Independence Day parade, and a moving flag-raising ceremony at the sacred peak.

4 days of the holiday, Sa Pa is estimated to welcome over 123,000 visitors, with accommodation occupancy rates reaching 80-100%. In particular, Sun World Fansipan Legend continues to affirm its appeal, attracting a large number of domestic and international tourists to join the sacred atmosphere of the September 2nd flag-raising ceremony, enjoy many special cultural and artistic activities such as the Golden Season Festival, the Independence Day parade, or vibrant folk games.

During the holiday season, the entire tourist area was filled with the colors of the red and yellow star flags, from the cable car station at an altitude of 1,600m, to the Muong Hoa mountain climbing train line to the sacred Fansipan peak, 3,143m high.

Holiday season, May Village at the cable car station bustled with the sounds of khen flutes and drums, mingling with the laughter and chatter of tourists and locals during the Golden Season Festival . Amidst the mountain scenery, traditional dances, folk songs, and games like 'nem con' (ball tossing) and tug-of-war… followed one after another, vibrant like a golden season painting. The festive atmosphere spread throughout the tourist area, bringing visitors a feeling of both novelty and familiarity – a vibrant Northwest.

On this occasion, ethnic minority communities in Sa Pa gather at Ban May, parading to celebrate Independence. The procession moves vibrantly in colorful attire, with fluttering flags and flowers to the rhythm of festival drums, songs, and cheers inviting tourists to join, creating a bustling festival scene. The most anticipated highlight is the flashmob performance amidst a sea of waving national flags, bringing a moment of explosive emotion.

At the Fansipan flagpole platform - the flagpole at the country's highest altitude - a special flag-raising ceremony took place. In a solemn atmosphere, the red flag with a yellow star fluttered amidst the magnificent landscape, the National Anthem resounded majestically, causing hundreds of Vietnamese hearts to beat in unison with pride, with a strong sense of national spirit spreading.

Many tourists could not hide their emotion when the Declaration of Independence, read by President Ho Chi Minh at Ba Dinh Square on September 2, 1945, once again echoed at the sacred Fansipan peak. Ms. Thu Trang, a tourist from Hanoi, emotionally said: “When the declaration was played, I was extremely moved, I still have tears in my eyes. I am so lucky to be here amidst a forest of brilliant national flags, feeling the pride of being Vietnamese.”

On this occasion, the resort personally handed 600 visitors shirts, waving flags, and stickers. Each small gift added a touch of red, making Fansipan Square transform into a vibrant 'sea of flags'. Amidst the sky and clouds of the Northwest, thousands of eyes, smiles, and tears together created an unforgettable memory.

International guests present at the flag-raising ceremony expressed their fondness and emotion with the way Vietnamese people express their patriotism. "From the streets of Hanoi to the summit of Fansipan, everywhere I went, I saw the red flag with a yellow star flying. That gave me a clear feeling about the strong patriotism of Vietnamese people. The festive atmosphere and national pride were present everywhere, making this trip incredibly special for me," Emily Watson, a tourist from the UK, shared.

The 2/9 holiday experience is a special emotional journey for visitors conquering the Indochina's roof during this Grand Ceremony. Everything blended into a vibrant autumn symphony, engraving national pride in the hearts of every visitor. Fansipan , with the red flag with a yellow star flying amidst the sea of clouds, once again affirmed itself as the spiritual destination for Vietnamese people during the country's major holidays.
