15/08/2025

Following the success of the "Ha Giang travel passport", the Lao Cai Province Tourism Association collaborated with a group of young travel bloggers to create the "Sa Pa travel passport". This product quickly gained attention and became a hot trend in the travel-loving community.

Journey to discover Sa Pa through a "passport"

For the price of 35,000 VND, visitors can get a souvenir passport and join a check-in journey at 12 famous locations such as: Stone Church, Sun Plaza, Fansipan Peak, Cat Cat village, Ham Rong Mountain, O Quy Ho pass, Muong Hoa valley, Ta Van village, Hau Chu Ngai village, Ta Phin village...

At each stop, visitors will be provided with free stamps and ink pads to stamp their passports themselves, marking their steps on their journey of discovery.

Intricately designed passport details

This form of tourism combined with souvenirs motivates tourists to explore more and makes the trip more meaningful. " Each destination has its own stamp, stamping each one into the passport makes the trip feel much more meaningful. It's not just about arriving, taking photos, and leaving, but also about preserving each moment, each footprint in the most special way." , travel blogger Ho Tan Tai (Win Di) - the initiator of the project shared.

The young content creator shared that this idea was sparked by various exploration trips around the world. In many countries, a travel passport is not only a tool to record journeys but also a bridge that helps tourists connect with their destinations. From his first steps in  Sa Pa , he saw the potential of this land. Traveling to Sa Pa is not just about exploring beautiful scenery, but also an opportunity to connect, understand the local culture, and love this land more.

Besides the unique check-in trend, the "Sa Pa passport" contributes to promoting and developing sustainable tourism. Thanks to the close collaboration between the Lao Cai Provincial Tourism Association and content creators, this product has started receiving many positive reviews from domestic and international tourists.

The content of the passport is meticulously designed and translated bilingual English - Vietnamese.

The Sa Pa passport: Town in the mist is being sold directly at hotels such as Amazing Sapa Hotel, Chau Long Hotel, Delasol Hotel, points sponsored by the Lao Cai Provincial Tourism Association, to ensure reasonable prices and avoid excessive commercialization.

Additionally, although there is no official information yet, it is expected that the Lao Cai Provincial Tourism Association and tourist destinations will offer more attractive incentives and gifts for tourists who complete the Sa Pa passport in the future.   The passport is expected to encourage tourists to explore more locations and return to Sa Pa multiple times for the most complete experiences.

Experiences in Sa Pa this season

Early summer is also when Sa Pa enters its most pleasant weather period, warm and cool, and covered by fluffy white clouds, creating an incredibly "healing" scene. Therefore, this is also an ideal time to go cloud hunting, experiencing the feeling of walking amidst a sea of clouds at O Quy Ho Sky Gate or Fansipan, Ham Rong Mountain,...

This is also the most beautiful flower season of the year in Sa Pa. Tourists come to Sa Pa this season especially to admire the azaleas blooming all over Fansipan peak. Also here, thousands of cherry blossom trees have just begun to bloom. Rose Festival will also be held in April, at the largest rose valley in the country, covering 50,000m2. Don't forget to enjoy Tay Bac specialties, participate in unique folk games such as con throwing, stilt walking, bamboo pole dancing,... watch special artistic performances and enjoy highland market sessions.

The Roof of Indochina – Fansipan peak has long been a dream destination for travel enthusiasts. Now, visitors can not only conquer the summit but also have their journey recorded in a "Sapa passport" as a memorable souvenir. At the customer care counter at the Fansipan cable car station, visitors can stamp their passports themselves. At the Fansipan summit, simply scan NFC to receive a certificate of conquering the highest peak in Vietnam and get a lucky gift.

A series of unique and new experiences await those passionate about the town in the mist. With a "Sapa passport" in hand, each trip is not just a journey but also a story etched in the most special way.
