"The Trading Port" Shapes a New Nighttime Experience

Located at Sun Porto Town, Sun Elite City (Lighthouse Area - Wonder Street), Bai Chay, VUI-Fest Ha Long is an integrated entertainment - cuisine - art complex invested by Sun Group to create a completely different nighttime experience space in Quang Ninh. Inspired by the image of a "prosperous trading port", the complex recreates the bustling trading spirit of the heritage land in a contemporary guise, where local culture intersects with modern life.

Red Sailboat Water Show

The highlight of the opening night was the red sailboat water show - the symbolic image of heritage region tourism. The opening featured the elaborately staged appearance of a formation of 6 bright red sailboats. In synchronized movement with music and lighting effects, the boats merged to form the image of a "light dragon" soaring on the bay, symbolizing the legend of creating the Ha Long wonder.

The image of sailboats also evokes the tourism icon of a bygone heritage region. Before motorboats and propeller engines replaced wind power from the 1990s, wooden boats with full sails were the main means of transport for residents of the Northeastern coastal region (Dong Bac bo). Recreating this image in a modern entertainment product not only awakens maritime cultural memories but also transforms traditional symbols into contemporary performance language.

Spectacular fireworks display

Immediately after the climax of the water show, an emotionally explosive high-altitude fireworks display took place at VUI-Fest Ha Long. Thousands of fireworks with over 50 multi-layered effects were displayed against the sky of the heritage bay, combined with music and modern lighting systems, creating an impressive visual spectacle. VUI-Fest Ha Long has now transcended the framework of a typical night market to become a world-class entertainment complex. Thousands of delighted tourists checked in this unprecedentedly brilliant scene in the heritage region.

Mobile stage

Besides the show and the brilliant fireworks display, VUI-Fest Ha Long also opens up a unique entertainment and culinary space never before seen in Bai Chay. VUI-Fest Port, a port-inspired art stage, is an attractive meeting point for indie bands, DJs, and street performers. Buggy cars are "transformed" into mobile stages with vibrant sound and LED systems, spreading festival energy along the street.

Visitors experience the booths

Alongside the performance activities, VUI-Fest also recreates the spirit of commerce through creative experience stations and an auction area, where visitors can discover handicraft products, designer gifts, and participate in interactive activities. The system of 100 diverse food kiosks, combining local specialties with international flavors, contributes to completing the night entertainment - culinary ecosystem.

VUI-Fest Ha Long will continuously refresh experiences with a series of additional activities, notably the 3D Mapping “Long Van Khanh Hoi” show, an art of light performance in the Lighthouse area - where the story of the heritage land is told through modern technology, creating another unique cultural highlight in the festival space by the bay. The show will be launched soon in May 2026.
